    A new vintage find, opinions pls

    So, as always, looking for decent vintage pieces. As always, asking for advice here.
    Serial of the case: 641764
    Price is 1k usd

    It's a nice Cal. 40 from..... when?!! The serial number under the balance suggests the 1960s (before then, they were on the bridges). There is no "Swiss Made" on the dial and the case back serial number is also low. I therefore suspect that it is a Besancon Zenith. sempervivens would be able to tell you more as to the exact age.

    Yes, the lack of swiss ok the dial got me thinking. Dial doesn't look refinish so I suspect Bensancon, also.

    Case number is Swiss. Moreover Besançon never got cal. 40. I suspect it is a redial. Nice twisted lugs.
