Re: Serial numbering on my Rainbow

It's not a serial but a model number. It starts with 01/02 because this model could come on a strap (01) or on a bracelet (02). Since you have the bracelet yours is 02.0470.405.

Does the El Primero watches have the watch serial number on the movement?

Some have, for instance all chronometer certified watches should have a numbered movement, but other Zeniths have it as well, depending on the period.

Thanks. Where the sn is located on Zenith movements? Here is a look at my El Primero movement; wonder how would Zenith process a request of the archives for details of a watch without that information

Love this post...still continue to learn about my own Rainbow a 405z as I understand since it was a 2004 model. I'm very curious to learn about when the 405 split off to the 405z and what the differences in movement is, if any.

In case you haven't read the Zenith story before:

Re: Serial numbering on my Rainbow

For the modern Zenith El Primero the s/n is usually located below the balance, as can be seen here

In your picture I don't see a s/n, it probably doesn't have a serial number, this is not unusual. Still Zenith could give you an extract of the archives based on the model number and pictures.
