I did it again and got my Zenith n°04 ..
Actually, this was a purchase of a watch that the seller quoted « for parts »
Here it is as I received it :
A bit scaring but even though parts are missing and corrosion is present, I felt it was worth a try .. so I bought it !
Some watchmaker work later (I am just capable of cleaning the case and bracelet, and it was very very dirty!), it looks like this:
Complete overhaul, replacement of parts, tuning .. and it works very nicely, very accuratetely and it does not look ugly at all !
It looks even better on a leather strap !
The watch bears the following n° : movement is 2572 + n°20-1670-370 on the back.
I believe it must be from the 70’ties.
Only the bezel is gold filled, the rest is gold color (fading away), so it seems.
I now have a Zenith dating from each decade : ’50, ’60, ’70 and ’80 (my EP) !
That will do for the time being !
Thank you for your attention,
