Zenith El primero Pilot Big Date Special
In love with this watch but most sure i am going to sell it soon, there are other pieces.. and one cannot afford having it all!
Good to see that Dan and Hartmut are still here! They have advised me 6 years ago with their valuable inputs which made me buy my below every day watch. So wearing this today......
Hartmut and Dan have really made the Zenith forum something special, bringing a lot of knowledge and enthusiasm, as well as a good balance between appreciation and critique of Zenith. I think that this is exactly what Zenith deserves.
Sadly, it seems that Dan's final post was Christmas Eve 2014 and to my knowledge he has not posted since. This is rather sad and I hope that he's okay.
Of course even by himself I would say that Hartmut is the best moderator that I have seen on WUS.
Here's to them and sharing their enthusiasm for Zenith!
Well, thanks for the flowers, as we say in Germany. Dan has to a certain extent left us for the "other forum" (International Watch League). I still keep in touch with him and he is doing OK.
As for the Defy, it is starting to show some signs of regular wear - but then, it's what it was made for. A typical Defy: will take anything and still keep on ticking.....
That watch is absolutely beautiful!
But again, if I look back what I have done with this watch (used my defy for swimming, sports, meetings, casual events, etc) my hats off to Zenith! It still rocks and I love it!
Just another daydreamer :)
Nearly 25 years ago we got this Daytona powered by Zenith movement, last service was many years back and it's still keeping a great time with + 6 sec per day.
