ok I'll play. Circa 1954.
Oh wow! An oldie but goodie!
As Hartmut Richter predicted, resistance truly was futile. Thank goodness!
So for the first time in 3 years, a Zenith joins the small family.
I can't go into detail here about the retailer and price, but it was a better deal than first caught my eye (PM if you're curious for details-I think discussing it here is against the rules?).
I even wore a red shirt to match the bezel!
It's a great fit (as the 45mm watch head goes) for my 7.5" wrist. Hard to tell from pics so close, but there's plenty of skin at both sides of the lugs.
Here's one more smart-phone-under-fluorescent-lighting picture.
I'll wait until I get home to size my bracelet. You need to anchor one side while unscrewing the other.
Happy to join the Zenith family again! Maybe this one will stick with me for awhile :)
Captain Chronograph today at work
Now that's a smashing looking watch! A worthy successor to the original (Rainbow Flyback from the 1990s). And yes, it's better to discuss prices via PM - thanks for remembering that.
Lest you think I am too harsh in my criticism of the 90's Rainbow and the subsequent Defy Rainbow, you should know I would jump at the chance to own either one. Sadly, my watch wallet has my feet firmly secured to the ground (despite its lightness). No jumping at the chance when the watch wallet is empty!
