    Sweet. Two beauties, one wrist.

BTW, this pic raises an interesting point. A major complaint re: modern El Primeros is the dial overlap. Here you have 2 watches with the same movement and same case dimensions - one with "overlap issue" and one without. It seems that this was a conscious design choice by Zenith to overlap (which subdial should be on top being a second issue, which I guess could have gone the other way). But still - movement dimensions allow for non-overlapping subdials

There is nothing unusually small about El Primero subdial spacing. This 44mm Ebel with the caliber 137 is based on a Lemania 1340 with basically the same spacing (Ebel used this movement to replace their use of the EP). The subdials overlap, but they are also asymmetrical in ways Zenith generally doesn't do.

Zenith have recently changed the layering of the overlap, which is welcome, but overlapping subdials are not that unusual. Yes, it was an aesthetic design decision.

Yes I noticed the same thing when I took the picture. The watch on the right is actually from Zenith's old Captain line, which had a more formal look than the sportier El Primero line. But as far as the overall appearance of the dial vis a vis the subdial spacing, I think the Captain works perfectly fine. It doesn't look like a small movement in a big watch to me. Both are the same 42mm.
