Formex Watch SA presents new iBoard generation
Formex Watch SA, the Lengnau-based inventor of the patented active case suspension system, is globally respected for its prominent timepieces. At this year’s Baselworld, Formex Watch SA is showcasing its stately instruments for the wrist and its latest-generation iBoard line endowed with striking refinements. The new iBoard collection is yet another demonstration of Formex’ ability to unite eye-catching design and ingenious technology in impressive masterpieces.
Internationally recognized for its unmistakable instrument-look timekeepers, Formex Watch SA is also known in the watchmaking industry as the pioneer of the active case suspension system. The patented suspension is shock-absorbing, dynamically adapts to movements of the wrist, and assures unprecedented wearing comfort. No other wristwatch with a cockpit instrument style offers a more luxuriously comfortable fit than a Formex.
With its prominent, high-quality watches, Formex occupies an enviable position in a large and exciting market. Watches have always been emotional possessions, but the distinctive timepieces crafted by Formex Watch SA open up a new dimension: the interface between the watch and its owner is designed to create a new on-wrist experience that cannot be adequately described in words. The case suspension system literally responds to each flexure of the wrist. Formex Watch SA unquestionably keeps its promises when it comes to advanced technology and a dynamic fit under all circumstances. The new brand identifier “Formex 4Speed” says it all.
The iBoard collection sports a youthful look
No product is so good that it couldn’t be further improved. As an innovative Swiss watchmaking company, Formex took this truism to heart and refined numerous details in its successful and meanwhile legendary iBoard series.
Each model stands out by virtue of characteristic features, optimized functionality, and benchmark styling. The consummately crafted square case is made of steel and titanium. The bezel skin is available in orange, blue, white, black, or red. Connoisseurs with a flair for classic styles can opt for a skin in black ceramic, steel, or 18K red gold. The tachymeter scale is now integrated on the bezel, giving the dial beneath the anti-reflection-coated sapphire crystal a sleeker appearance. The self-winding models, water-resistant to 100 meters, are powered by an ETA Valjoux 7750 chronograph movement. The double sweep seconds hands and the Formex signature pushbutton at 12 o’clock are conspicuous features. All models come with a titanium bracelet plus a leather strap and a silicone strap. An included hex key allows the owner to conveniently interchange them at any time. Like all Formex watches, the new iBoard models have the tilted console feature that vastly improves the legibility of the dial.
As a young company with a long future, Formex Watch SA knows that robust, high-grade materials and inimitably original designs address the style expectations of self-confident women and men. “The iBoard series is our flagship bestseller,” says Formex Managing Director Ferdinand Grädel. “That’s why we expanded it as we developed our new products for Baselworld. At the same time, we refined the personality of our watches, adding understatement and youthful appeal. Prominent watches have become a mainstream trend, and our new models definitely express our preference for big is beautiful as well as our commitment to authenticity,” Grädel explains.
At Baselworld 2007, the Formex Watch SA collection will be on display at Stand A19 in Hall 5.1.
