Laco Pilot Baumuster B Special Edition - Quick-Reference Project Overview

This new thread is created to provide an overview of the Laco "B" Pilot special edition project. Please do not post here for discussion or suggestions.

Project: Laco Type"B" Pilot Special Edition
    Cost: Final cost 550 Euros

    Features Agreed by Laco:
+ Sand blasted 42mm stainless steel case, height 13mm
+ Solid caseback engraved "limited edition" with Laco logo and Nr.
+ Hand wound modified ETA 2824 (hacking)
    + Free-of-inscription-no-date-dial, type: Baumuster B
+ Lume dots on hour circle and lowered arrow below 12
+ An onion crown same as the original
    + A domed sapphire crystal
    + Superluminova C3 lume
+ Engraving "FL23883" on the side of the case
+ Limit lume only to the following: minute numbers 10,20,30,40, and 50, minute markers, dots on hour circle, arrow, and hands
    + White circle around dial
+ Standard Pilot strap but with options during ordering process

    Features discussed on the forum:
+ Sand blasted case like the original 55mm watch
+ Blue hands (possible by Laco but with additional 30 Euros and 6 months)
    + Wider minute hand
[EDIT by Crusader: there has been the suggestion, due to the long lead-time, to make both the wider minute hand and the flame-blued hands a separate project for a later retrofit; please see here]

Latest mock up provided by Laco:

    Packaging update:
It is not a wooden box like the one given with the 55mm Laco Original Replika, but Laco is more than generous given our price point:

    - Nice Leather watch case
    - Watch with Black strap and an Additional Original Leatherstrap in Brown
    - A Certificate designed for WatchUSeek forum with your watch number and original signature of Mr. Günther (Laco owner)

    Cheers,
    Bhanu

    Re: Laco Project Overview

This will be a quick-reference thread to keep track of what's already been decided upon, and what is still under discussion. I hope it helps those new to the discussion.

Only Bhanu and the moderators will post in this thread or keep it updated.

Re: LACO Pilot Special Edition (Forum Project Wach) - Discussion

Just a quick update on ordering process:

    - I will email Laco with contact information on May 11th (Sunday)
    - Laco will email everyone with invoice for 250 Euros deposit the week of May 12th (next week)
    - The deposit can be made either with bank wire transfer or Paypal
    - Laco will confirm every money transfer and watch number by mail.
    - Laco will expect the rest of the payment directly before shipping the watches.
    - Laco will not charge any shipping costs.
    - The delivery will be 4-8 weeks after Laco receives the deposit.

My best guess is that Laco will start shipping our watches in late June.

Mr Pfeiffer will be on holidays starting tomorrow so other than deposit I do not expect any updates until his return on May 26th.

    Cheers,
    Bhanu

I hope the green lume is just an over emphasis and wouldn't look exactly like that in real life?

    Perrrrrrrfect!
Remember it's just a mock up, with some colour contrast to make clear which parts are lumed.

Dial Design - Vector File - ongoing process...

I will add new pictures here or replace pictures as the process continues, this in order to keep everything readable and compact.

If you want to comment, please go to the discussion thread. We have to keep things clean a bit...

    Greetings,
    Frank

Any chance of ordering one, since I came in to this thread late?
