For sale: LeCoultre Memovox cal 814 "wrist alarm" with blued seconds hand, early 1950's, SERVICED!
This is a marvellous piece, an early 1950's LeCoultre Memovox "Wrist Alarm", powered by a manual wind cal 814 in great condition. The gold filled case is in good condition, with light wear on the plating on the lugs (see pics). The two-tone dial is very clean and in excellent condition, it has been professionally refinished at some point in the past. The white parts of the dial contrast very nicely with the gold-silverish minute track, and with the gold indices and gold syringe hands. To top it off, there's a gorgeous blued seconds hand that really ties everything together beautifully.
The watch measures 34mm diameter without crowns and 43mm from lug to lug. It comes on a new black genuine ostrich leather strap. This puppy has been fully serviced August 2016 by my watchmaster (he's so much more than a watchmaker!). All functions work perfectly, the watch runs perfectly and keeps excellent time. The alarm has a very strong buzz.
