For sale is a vintage Butex - Chronograph Suisse chronograph.
Beautiful vintage watch. Everything is original, untouched dial and hands. Chronograph Suisse was a brand that made parts for Swiss watch companies...and for this watch it was Butex. Butex was a part of Buttes Watch Company which is still around and making watches out of Germany. A lot of horological history with this chronograph.
Movement: Landeron manual wind chronograph
Dimensions: 34mm width (without crown) - 36mm width (with crown) x 40mm height
Crystal: Acrylic in excellent condition
Case: Base metal plated, stainless steel caseback
Lug width: 18mm
The watch is in good condition (80%). These watches date from the 1940s to 1950s, though there is nothing fundamentally wrong with the watch it has obviously been used. The movement runs well and keeps time. The chronograph function works and resets to 12 (the last four pictures on this listing show the chronograph activated, left to run for a few minutes, stopped, and reset). There is some plating that is wearing off on the case, crown, and pushers; this is shown in the pictures and does not detract from the overall look of the watch.
The dial on this watch is beautiful and has aged well; bi-compax with tachymeter and telemeter scales.
Priced at $250 including shipping to your door.
