Manufactured by Rotary who during this period were one of the top manufactures
of quality dive watches and this piece demonstrates why.
Whats not to love about this stunning vintage timepiece which is a cross between a
divers watch and a chronograph? Powered by an exquisite Landeron 154 chronograph
movement in good working order. As you can see from pictures, the movement is in
very clean condition.
The dial is in excellent condition. It is black with white subsidiary dials
and has a great Military feel to it. The dial has Arabic numerals for the
half hour numerals and baton indices for the rest. The outer tachymeter marks
are in good condition. The numerals/batons have mellowed over time
and look amazing!
The hands are in good original condition. with only a small section of the
original lume missing from the minutes hand.
Both pushers work correctly and the large seconds hand resets sharply to the 12.
Both sub-dials are in great condition and fully working.
Bezel is unidirectional and has a smooth action - not sloppy or stiff.
Crystal is free from any major scuffs
Case is in overall good condition given its age.
Runs at approx 20s/day. Power reserve is approx 18 hours.
Noted after the fact that I had not pushed the crown back in when taking
pictures. I added a later image showing crown flush with body - last image.
38-mm case excluding the crown and pushers
Lug to lug: 48-mm.
Lug width 20mm
Strap: Vintage minimal stitched leather. Really matches the dial, markers and style
of this piece - and super comfortable to wear.
Plenty of pictures from different angles to show condition and colour.
Depending on the light the dial has a glossy to semi mat appearance.
Priced sensibly, I doubt you will find better price for this condition of a very rare timepiece.
