    F-91 W Japan U 1989 & F-91 W China DH 2019 30 Years between a clock and another

Hi guys, 30 years have passed since the first Casio F-91w and the latter bought a few months ago, the question is simple, these F-91W models manufactured in China, will last 30 years too, or will they have applied the programmed obsolescence?

Should we extend the question to also cover Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam and other sources of F-91W? And would an F-91W made today in Japan differ from one made 30 years ago in Japan?

If they produced again, only with the 1989 box, I would be satisfied.

Programmed obsolescence as in number of years in the calendar?

There is of course an easy work around for expired calendars.

I do know certain years match up but, is there a way to figure it out continuously?

Yes. There are several websites that show matching years. The calendar on my Casio DB 520 expires at the end of the coming decade. Using 2003 will keep the calendar in sync year after year.
