    A modern, classic Digital Watch

    Hello
I'm starting to get hooked on digital watches. More precicely the ones with a more classic/retro dresswatch look. However I cannot find any modern watch with these features. Sure, you have the Casio line of retro watches, but those are usually cheap plastic watches with the sole purpose of looking retro. The real vintage casio watches was usually make from stainless steel or some other metal alloy.

Do anyone know of any modern, high quality digital watch with that simple 80s design?

Here is a few example of what I'm looking for:

Anyone know about similair watches that are not just plastic casios or timexes?

Yes, by the way most of them are plastic even if they look like steel.
Seiko (Seiko SBPG001) like you posted was very expensive and gone from production after very short run around 8-10 years ago.

I prefer my PVD version of this watch (2009 photo):

But both are very nice (2015 photo):

You posted it yourself: the Seiko SBPG001. If you're from Europe, though, read this first: https://forums.watchuseek.com/f21/se...ml#post7964151

All metal, 6.5mm thin, designed in the 1980s and still in production...

    Thanks for anwsers!
I was afraid there wasn't any modern classic digital watches. The SBPG001 looks like a dream watch for me, but the few I found on ebay was all scuffed up and priced at 250£ and upwards. That is completely insane. Looks like I'll have to find some new old stock watches, but those are usually pretty expensive too.

This one is more or less exactly what I want. But a price of 145 £ for a watch that originally had a cost of less than 23$ is a bit extreme I think, even if it is never used. Also, the display look a slight bit faded, but that might only be the angle of the photo.

There are a few...Casio makes an all steel rectangular G-Shock, the GMW series, in silver, gold, or black.

Braun and Nixon have a few rectangular watches with steel cases.

Pulsar has the PW3001 and PW3003, all steel rectangular digital watches.

If you would consider a round digital watch, Pulsar has many, just go to eBay or Amazon and search "Pulsar digital watch".

plus a new series called Accelerator, with one all-digital model. I don't think the digital is sold in the U.S. yet, but it's available from shops in the U.K.

I've owned a Seiko SBPG001 for years. Great watch. Like you said though, they are hard to find and expensive. There's one on eBay right now for $350. That's actually a good price.

I own vintage digital watches with stainless cases as well as several plastic cased Casios. I often get just as much enjoyment out of wearing a Casio like this B650WB...
