RED LED WATCH: WHERE TO FIND?

As the title says, have been looking for a vintage LED watch on ebay with little to no luck. Most units are either not working or priced out of my budget!

Any hints/tips as to where one can snag such a beauty...photo for reference only!

Does it have to be vintage? G. Gerlach makes a retro LED watch, and Bulova has the Computron reissue. I’ve had trouble finding vintage ones in good condition at a price I’d pay.

Doesn't have to be vintage. Let me research the two you've mentioned.

They're notoriously unreliable. I'm lucky to have this Bulova Computron Driver I got on eBay for less than $200 but every time I take it out of the case I'm afraid it will be dead

Let's hope the new ones are more reliable.
How old is the one you have?

Mid-70s. The first LED watch - the Pulsar Time Computer - came out in 1972. By the end of the 70s, LCDs had proven a superior technology. The LEDs require 2 batteries and will burn through both in less than a day if left on. That's why they stay off and only light up for a couple seconds when you press the button. By the end of the 70s ,no more LEDs were being produced, so they're all from the 70s. If you like my Computron, you're in luck because you can buy the re-issue and not worry about the battery eating unreliability: https://hypebeast.com/2019/3/bulova-...h-2019-release
