    SKMEI 1310 Upgrade

I am wondering if there is a watch, which is the same display size or larger, with a clearer higher contrast display? A louder alarm would be useful.

I am pretty sure there are new Timex models resembling said skmei and likely made by said SKMEI. But there is no point in buying them (made in china for Timex by changing badge) over pure made in china...

Ifyou are saying certain Timexs are rebranded SKMEIs, I agree with you.

I was thinking about Essential or Transit lines but the Classic are also similar. Essential has a round shape similar to Skmei if that’s your preference.

    Re: SKMEI 1310 Upgrade

I have said overized 50 lap and it's great sports watch. It can be claimed to be "general purpose digital" by some but not by many. It's too big for that.
Digit size is huge plus of it and i was able to tell lap time with distant street light while running laps around stadium after sunset. It's really good one. I am not going to claim SKMEI or round Timex models more general purpose than classic one. Original Timex models had very remarkable accuracy and been very user friendly. Downside was bands susceptible to crumbling after 3-4 years of active use.
That said i an recommend classic Timex models in a heartbeat and if you like/ok with look and not looking for other features there is little to be disappointed about.
There are even bigger Expedition models but they huge. For sure if you climb more in price range Casio Protrek and Casio Protrek with STN are "best it can be" but hardly value for money.
50 lap Timex can be found at affordable price and for additional yet sensible money spent over SKMEI you do get value and brand.

Only see up to 45mm Expeditions on the timex site. I should add positive displays only and at least one alarm.
