    small robust ana-digi

Looking for a watch for a kid. Hopefully $60 or under, that is:
    pretty small
    robust (at least mineral glass)
does not have a metal band.

    Any suggestions welcome!

If a Gshock, G-100 comes to mind. Fits all criteria. It’s quite small for a G but maybe not so much for a regular watch. But it’s robust as hell.

Mineral glass is not the most robust option.
Second G100 or AW591, GWXX 100 are good as well.
there is classic Timex Expedition Combo
It's plastic but you can buff scratches with toothpaste. nice and easy.

Extremely light and full indiglo covering screen and dial.
    It should be special!

Thanks for the suggestions. The G-100 looks like an option.

Regarding the Timex: I know plastic can be buffed. But in my experience, any event significant enough to make a real scratch on mineral would be so deep on plastic you would never buff it out.

In any case, this is for someone whose gone through too many watches with plastic crystals at this point, which got scratched too deep to buff out. Lent him a g-shock and no scratches have materialized.
