Great review - very informative and covers everything you need to know about the Mako. I wear mine a fair bit and think that the lume is actually pretty good.

Yes, Iam very happy with the lume on my Mako. Having said that, it can not hold a candle to any of my Citizens. Not a biggie.

    I love my Mako!

I'm glad for the lume clarification. I received my Orient "hogrider" last week and presumed that the Blue Mako lume was just as weak.

I may now have to order the Mako.

Very nice review and I agree with the nitpicking about this watch, such as the balky bezel. I've been working mine and it's starting to loosen up. Despite its small faults, this is a watch that's often on my wrist -- it's like wearing a comfortable pair of jeans.
