Hey everyone. Up for trade is a 1970 Breitling Navitimer 806 in very good to excellent condition. Pictures don't do it justice. This one has the Venus 178 movement which is steady at +3 spd. Bezel is super smooth. It has a matte dial and the sub-dials are a shiny silver done in concentric circles. Absolutely stunning. It’s 41mm and comes as watch, all service docs, and box from originating jeweler in the Netherlands. Hirsch leather strap in excellent condition with authentic Breitling buckle. This one is unique in that it was completely restored by the original owner in 2010 and from what I've read cost around $1600. A more modern service dial, hands, pushers, and crown were installed. All service and restoration work was done by Breitling and documentation is included. From my research a very small number of service dials with the smaller sub-dials were created in the late 90’s for this model and are now gone. It was serviced again in 2016 (not by Breitling but by a competent watchmaker) and that documentation is included as well. Considering it’s age, it’s in excellent condition and you'll be hard pressed to find a column wheel chronograph at this price point and in this condition. The feeling and action on a column wheel chrono vs a cam lever is night and day. If you want a vintage watch with modern functionality and not beat up with “vintage problems", this might be the one for you.
