    5000 on Rubber?!? Anyone?

    ....got a pic of the 5000 on various rubber straps?

    I see the Doxa one is for the 750, but Doc has a pic on a 5000. What gives?

    Going on VaCa and was looking to put the bracelet up for a week.

    I may be wrong, but I think that was a photo of a 750 strap placed into the 5000.

    That is correct, it was not a strap made for the 5000T. (I sent an email to Doc asking the same exact question).

    Hey Bill -

    I'm sure you've seen these before but here's my (your) old 5000T on the Hirsch Extreme rubber..... IMO a perfect strap for the 5000T

    These straps are excellent quality... very thick but also soft and pliable... they have no trouble locking the 5000T to your wrist.

    The thickness of these straps seems to really suit the overall size of the 5000T... I hate it when you have a big solid watch head hanging off your wrist with a wimpy rubber strap... this one almost looks like it was made for the 5000T.

    It definately adds to the overall "tool" type look in my opinion

    Here's a few more pics on the Blue Hirsch Extreme strap... it's almost a perfect colour match with the Caribbean dial.

    Serving for presentation I show my 5000T with a 22mm bracelet Hirsh, I tried the original but could not put on my Doxa should only serve for the 1000 or the new 1200 or others but not for 5000T;

    Best Regards from Portugal

    It's funny, when I saw this thread I was thinking "a 5000T would look great on a Hirsch Pure"...you sure proved me right with those photos! I've yet to find a more comfortable rubber strap than this one, btw. It's expensive, because it is natural rubber, but well worth it (at least until Doxa unveils and official 5000T strap).

    I can tell you what doesn't work on the 5000T: the Sinn U-series strap.

    Usually I can put the Sinn rubber strap on anything, and can fit most 22mm straps into 21mm lug spaces, but. . .

    I wish it did, as I'd love to put it on there. I'm thinking of attacking it with an X-acto knife, but I'd probably botch it and end up with a ruined strap...just not that brave

    Yes I agree it's a bit expensive but no comparison with the silicone bracelet, soft, accommodates itself to the pulse, and much better than the original Doxa.

    Best regards
