    50th Anniversary Date Font

I was looking at my SUB 300 Professional and Searambler watches the other day and noticed that the date on the Searambler seemed slightly harder to read.
On closer examination I saw that the font on the date wheel is different; the Professional being sans serif and the Searambler using a serif font which also seemed more right justified.
At first I wondered if this was common to the Searambler but then saw some pictures of the Sharkhunter with the same serif font.
Has anyone else noticed this on their watches and are there any other differences?

Hi - I hadn't noticed that before - well spotted! It's interesting... I've a few pictures below of my DOXA date numbers and the only one of mine which seems to have a Serif font is the Poseidon Divingstar. The others are all Sans Serif - including the SUB 300 50th Searambler

I do remember one WUS member posting that he received a Black Lung with a small date font. There does seem to be some variation with date wheels within the same families.

Thanks for that, I found rather thread and it seems that a few had the smaller date. It doesn't bother me too much so I'll most probably wait until I get it serviced and get a replacement put in.

Thanks for the information; fortunately I've got one of each allowing me to compare them side by side
Of the two the sans serif is definitely easier for my old eyes to read - especially with the box glass used on the 50th anniversary model.
Even though the sans serif is seemingly more common I think that I'll most likely be changing the serif Searambler over at service.
