    '67 Doxa 300 Serial numbers

I thought it would be interesting to collect the serial numbers of the early 300 no T and black lungs doxa. I have come up with three so far.

There are two sets of numbers on the watch. The first numbers is 11889-4 and it is a common number on all three watches that i have collected.

The serial number on my black lung is 6609446

The serial number on my Sharkhunter is 6609465

The serial number of the 300 no T that sold on ebay 6609464

I know that there are no records on how many watches were made by doxa. But if we can collect serial numbers maybe we can narrow the numbers of watches produced. Brian

    Hi brian,

i’m a little bit astonished about having a number on the back of a noT. i’ve never heard of this. according to petes book there should be none. as far as I know doxa startet numbering their subs with the following model (thicker case and mineral glass). perhaps they started numbering with the last few ones of the 67series? i think nobody knows it for sure.

    another secret behind the sub.

in any case my 300noT pro has definitely no number in the back but one freehand engraved in one lug

I don't know if you were watching the auction last week with a 300 no t that was like your watch.
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110429698637&ssPageNam e=STRK:MEWAX:IT

The serial number only one off of my Sharkhunter 300 no t.

My Shakhunter serial numbers are faint and hard to read(worn down).
My 300 Blacklung is unpolished and is very easy to read.

I purchased my Black lung from the owner who has owned the watch since '69-'70 without ever having service. So i feel my watch is very original.

A couple years ago we thought the black lungs were prototype but a number of them have surfaced since and i know of one of the first 3 Blacklungs were sold from Doxa in '67.

    Thanks for your interest. Brian

As I wrote: secrets, secrets, secrets ……
Btw: I think 860$ is a little bit too much money for this wrecked watch. Of course it’s a 67model but the damages are too extreme. No band, no crown, damaged dial …
Will be very expensive to bring this baby back to its former beauty.
It’s the first Sub noT I’ve seen with feet-bezel but without blacklung-logo.

Re: '67 Doxa 300 Serial numbers

I have a 1967 Sub 300T (with "T") on the beads of rice bracelet. Serial number = 6751847. My understanding was that the first two digits represented the date of manufacture.

Can someone confirm if this statment is correct please because mine is referenced 1189-4 6752425 - so does this make it 1967 then?
