Bergeon Third Hand for screw lugs?

    Gentlemen,
I ordered a Bergeon Third Hand from Doxa, because I was under the impression that it could be used to remove the screw lugs on my Sub 1500T, without scratching the case, so I could wear it on a NATO strap that DOXA so kindly sent me. It would work well on the bracelet links (I realize now the intended design.)

What method/device is commonly used to loosen the screw lugs?

    Please advise this novice.

Any time I want to loosen screws on my watch, I always put the screw under hot tap water to get the screw and surrounding area hot. Then I carefully remove the screw.

This also help with new DOXA SUB's as the factory uses a light thread lock compound on the screws. A hair dryer works as well, but, be careful not to get the watch too hot!
