    bracelet to strap 300t reissue

Ok, so today i tried changing the bracelet to the strap. the key word here is tried. i could not for the life of me get the screws out where they go in to the lugs. i had both screwdrivers one in each side of the screw trying to loosen it to no avail. i gave up after i started to bend the tips of the screwdrivers. so please if someone knows an easier way i am all ears.

    :thanks
    Thanks Nick

hmmm, it shouldn't be that tight, unless...

the PO used loc tite (I hate when that happens).
So, try placing the lugs ends into some very hot water and holding it there for a couple of minutes (not the entire watch). That should loosen the screws. And maybe place a bit of tape over the holes when you use the screwdrivers: slipping and scratching the case does happen.
    Good luck.

I bought a Seahunter when they were first issued and I asked Doxa the same question. They said to hold a match under the screws to heat them up and loosen the Loctite. It leaves a bit of residue that washes right off.

Yup it's not easy to do. I never had to put mine in hot water or heat up the screw driver though. I had more trouble keeping the watch still while using 2 screwdrivers at once. Patience and it will happen. After a few times you get used to it. If you have some kind of clamp to put the case in then it would be much easer to do.

Also they supplied the watch with two different sized screwdrivers. If you use the smaller one you run the risk of it stripping one of the screws. It's worth the investment of buying a good quality set of jewler's screwdrivers.

+1, Very True. I don't use the smaller one. It's useless. Why they didn't include 2 screwdrivers of the same size baffles me. Sorry I didn't mention this before.

You can buy a mini-set of screw drivers at Radio Shack.

I agree with this wholeheartedly. I use a 1.2mm screwdriver from True Value Hardware to remove links with my GMT bracelet. Fits perfectly.

True, but my cheap screwdriver set from radio shack used to remove just the screws from the bracelet works like a charm. I'd only recommend the expensive Otto sets if you were doing internal movement work.
