Buying a Doxa sub in EU

    Hello,

Is it possible to buy Doxa in the EU for EU-based citizens? Otherwise it gets very expensive with another 25-30% added for customs when they are shipped from the United States?

    Best regards,

    John - Belgium

Hi John, all DOXA SUBs are shipped directly from the DOXA factory in Bienne/Switzerland, and the prices listed are factory prices that do not include any type of taxes or customs fees. Sales taxes, value added tax, VAT, GST or whichever name they have in the destination country are borne by the consumer and are collected through FedEx upon arrival. When importing goods into the USA, sales taxes do not apply, that is why on watches shipped to the US no taxes apply.

I've been told yes and they charge you VAT directly on paypal, I was charged for the deposit for the 300 mt.

They will ship the watch from Austria.

So, from what I understand after some reading, if I would want to buy a SUB-1200T for example, I would have to pay the 1890$ (spring savings price) to Doxa as listed on the website, converted in Euro's and then add another 20% VAT, because It is send from Austria to me (Belgium)? Am I right?

Sorry, I don't understand If the watch is sent from Austria which is an EU-country as well as Belgium why to pay extra VAT?

Some years ago Doxa sent their watches from Switzerland which is non EU. In these days you had to pay extra VAT importing a watch into a EU-country but not nowadays.
    Best Regards

We ship our watches from Switzerland normally, but for EU customers we ship from Austria. That way there are no extra customs duties. We still have to charge VAT though as our prices do not include it.
