Diving back in! 1200t Professional MKII

A few years ago I saw my first Doxa in person, and I knew I needed one in my collection. I ended up getting a 750t Dirk Pitt Edition Sharkhunter. I really enjoyed that watch, but it was a little too large for me.

A couple years ago, I acquired a 1200t Sharkhunter and wore that often. Perfect size, very comfortable, and I always liked the vintage diver design. I had that for awhile and decided to go out of my typically conservative comfort zone of black, mixed it up a bit sold the Shark and acquired a 1200t Professional. I really enjoyed that watch and wore it often. Unfortunately a financial setback had me sell it, and I had regretted that sale ever since. So when things got back to normal, I knew I would have to purchase another. Than the July 4th sale came and "normal" happened quickly.

Doxa sent it on the 6th and tracking showed it was suppose to arrive yesterday, but the infamous shipping exception occurred. This may help others, I called Fed Ex to find out what happened, they said they had not received the Watch worksheet. The guy I spoke with emailed it to me, I filled it out, signed it, sent it back and this morning, my brand new Doxa 1200t Professional MKII on individual BOR bracelet delivered.

This was the first one I ever got without the rubber straps, but I didn't mind as they always stay in the can. They included the tool separately outside of the can with a larger tool. Sizing it was simple, and the micro adjustment created the perfect fit. I was a little nervous about how the beads of rice would look polished, I thought it might be a bit blingy and that I would have to brush them, but no need, it's perfect. I am really impressed with this updated BOR. the end links were perfected, it's even more comfortable than the fused BOR. My other slight fear of too much flexibility with the possibility of a rattle was also not there, this is more solid than I anticipated. The comfort level is right on top along with my Tag Link and Omega SMPc. The case and dial is just as I remembered, Doxa does to Orange what Omega does for Blue. They just do it right. Very happy right now. Here's the evidence. Happy to be back in the club.

Great watch Doug, and being able to take advantage of the July 4th sale, makes it even greater. Welcome back to the club!

Congrats! The new BOR is a nice improvement over the old, I don't think I've ever had a more comfortable bracelet.

Happy to be back. I was a couple months off from ordering it, but then I kept visiting this forum and seeing all the orange posts, that was too good of a deal couldn't pass up. Great to be back.

I couldn't agree more, more, it's comfortable, and it is so unique. That was the thing that drew me to Doxa to begin with. This move to the individual BOR was such a great upgrade.

Thanks man! I've really been enjoying it. I'm looking forward to taking it on my trip to Cancun in a couple weeks. May have to take it into the element it was made for, a nice swim in the ocean :)
