    Does this Make Sense?

I recently picked up a 750T Sharkhunter and it is serial number 1140/5000. A cursory check of the forum shows that 1140/5000 is one of the 20 rare MilPros. What gives?

Well, the serial number is on the watch I have and when I did a search of the Doxa Forum looking for 1140 I found that that particular serial number was assigned to a 750T MilPro currently owned by JMOORS...

The warrantly card on my SharkHunter is dated 20/11/2008 so I know that this is one of the six "found" SharkHunters discovered after the initial selling out of the model was announced in January 2008.

Does anyone else think that a duplicate serial number is kind of strange?

I have the same issue. I just recently purchased a 750t SH, which arrived yesterday, and it has a serial number 1143/5000. In a search in the forum, it also reveals it is a Mil Pro. It makes since, since I currently own 1132/5000 and is a Mil Pro!

Also, date on warranty card is Oct. 23, 2008

It is kinda strange. Specially now that there's two 750t SH with the same serial of MillPros.
Wonder if there's another model with the same situation

Since it has been covered before, about Doxa assigning random numbers, we don't expect the numbers to be in sequence. The strange thing, is the forum thread where the exact serial number was claimed by owner as a Mil Pro, as Romeo stated already! I'm sure there is a logical explanation that will make sense.

Maybe Doxa can chime in on the issue!
If I can recall correctly when I got the watch, Doxa allocated numbers 1130 to 1150 to the Mil Pro issue. Let's see what comes up on the other thread that just started regarding the twenty numbers for Mil Pro issued!

It would appear that the Sharkies that were found in October of 2008 and released for sale have duplicate serial numbers...interesting.

Yes, it does appear that we are heading in that direction! I'm curious as to who "rogers up" with the 1143 on the Mil Pro, since I have the SH 1143.

    Re: Does this Make Sense?

The question remains...is this an error or were the same serial numbers used for different watches within the 750 line. The latter just doesn't make sense. If you were going to produce 5000 watches (I know that there were not 5000 750Ts) and use the same serial number multiple times then where's the point in having serial numbers to begin with. Theoretically you could produce 5000 watches and lable them all as 3422/5000, for example, and save money on engraving...
