NOTE: I first attempted to post on this topic on Friday December 6, 2013
After a year-long absence, Caine McCoy a.k.a Rusty Shackleford returned my Doxa 600T. It arrived Friday night by UPS. Included in the box was a long, well-written, detailed apology letter. I don’t know what to think of all this. The photograph at http://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/ is terrible, but I took it to document that I really do have the watch.
What didn’t work: trying to get anybody in the U.S. Army to talk Rusty into giving back my watch.
What worked: going to his local civilian police department.
This weekend, I wrote PMs to those of you who helped me by providing me with useful information. I will answer your responses during the next couple of days. You helped me get my watch back. I don’t want to violate your privacy, so please stand up and take a bow on this forum, if you would like. Thank you very, very much for helping me to get my watch back.
