No, boths brands are distributed by the same company, but they are entirely different companies with different owners.
In case of JENNY, yes, it is a sister brand of DOXA

The way I understand this, Walca SA operates two factories, one in Switzerland, the other in China. Walca, created by the Jenni family, owns the Jenny brand, as well as Doxa. Walca contract -manufactures watches for other companies in their factories, as well as Doxa and Jenny.

Jenny is the lady's dive watch division (since no man would wear a dive watch with a girls name), while Doxa Sub is the men's dive watch division (because Jacque and Clive's Dirk Pitt character wore Doxa's ... neither Dirk nor Jacque would be caught dead with a pastel-dial watch named Jenny).

Walca makes Doxa Subs in Switzerland, and non-dive Doxa watches in their China factory for the Asian market.

I know nothing about Walca but I do know this is not even a little correct. Jenny is the family name of the owner (Peter Jenny) and is pronounced Yanni. The company names have absolutely no bearing on who the watches are made for nor marketed too.

The first and last links provided may enlighten... If you own a Doxa, you own a watch made by Walca.

    In which language?

"The four national languages of Switzerland are German, French, Italian and Romansh. All but Romansh maintain equal status as official languages at the national level within the Federal Administration of the Swiss Confederation."

I have no idea which one to pick to emulate...

But In English, my native language, you can listen to how it is pronounced here:
    https://www.macmillandictionary.com/...american/jenny
"J" pronounced like Janet or Jack.

I have a French last name. Born and raised here in the USA, 4th generation; No one pronounces it even remotely close to how people in Canada (where my ancestors came from) accent it, let alone how it is pronounced in France. I interact with native Swiss, German, UK, India, and Italian speakers on a regular bases, all who pronounce my last name is they would in their own language. I.e all very different. Should they all be required to attempt to pronounce my name exactly like a native French speaking CEO I once reported to did? He even transformed my first name into the French version. You should hear how my colleagues in Korea and Japan used to pronounce my name!

If you are a native of the BR mountains (beautiful place!), do you expect people around the US to change accents and try to mimic yours when the say your Name? My god, imagine if we all tried to mis-mash accents when we spoke people's names, guessing all the possibles inflections.... we'd all sound as silly as Geraldo Rivera! A tower of Babel.

    For your enjoyment:

    https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/jenny
    jenny noun
    jen·ny | \ ˈje-nē \
    plural jennies
    Definition of jenny
    1a : a female bird
    a jenny wren
    b : a female donkey
    2 : SPINNING JENNY

    https://www.sheknows.com/baby-names/name/jenny/
    Jenny:
The name Jenny is a baby girl name.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6WTdTwcmxyo
    Tommy Tutone: Lyrics:
    Jenny I've got your number
I need to make you mine
    Jenny don't change your number....

He wasn't singing to a guy named Peter....

Maybe in Switzerland they might pronounce "Jack" as "Yack". That's fine if we're in Switzerland. But sorry, but if we are speaking English, "Jenny" is pronounced here exactly as it sounds ... "J" not "Y".

    Never trust a Pats fan.

I remember a similar debate over the proper pronunciation of Sinn several years ago.

It's not a persons native tongue that determines pronunciation of another persons name, it's the person whose name it is who determines how their name should be pronounced. When I first met Romeo Jenny 12 years ago he introduced himself as Ro-mayo Yann-ee...so now I call him Laurel.
