    DOXA Leather Strap

Anyone know if DOXA will sell leather straps?

I think previously they sold or issued a black leather strap with orange stitching which was attractive.

I would be interested especially if it was DOXA branded. Especially if it had a deployment clasp.

    Anyone else interested?

Alternatively, has anyone had luck with any other after market leather straps? If so, please show.

    Cheers,

    JL

That sounds interesting to me, especially with a deployant.

    Re: DOXA Leather Strap

The only leather strap Doxa currently offers is the bund-style strap, similar to the one Robert Redford wore in 'Three Days of the Condor'. Here's a link to the strap sale site: http://www.doxawatches.com/military_leather_strap.html

I think the black strap with the orange stitching was only offered for their first Sub re-issue, the 300 series. I have seen aftermarket straps with white stitching that have been colored with a Sharpie marker.....

And of course, Banda (and other custom makers) will make you whatever you want, orange thread and all .

A few on this forum have ordered custom aftermarket straps. I'm still waiting for mine to come in (but it should be here soon). I also ordered a deployment clasp from fredawatches (http://www.fredawatchstraps.com/axeljost.html). I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it will work without any problems.

The hardest will probably be finding a 21mm strap that you like.

By the way, if you're still playing rugby I'm jealous. I played in school (second row #4), but couldn't keep it up once the job kicked in. Still love to watch the game, but it's a shame more international matches don't make it to tv over here.

    Re: DOXA Leather Strap

I do think that Doxa is missing an opportunity by not selling 21mm straps.

As for rugby, still playing, but have since migrated from Blindside Flank to Loosehead Prop...alas getting older slower and fatter. Although I am trying hard to correct the last two.

I doubt Doxa will start making 21mm straps now, they have all but stopped making watches with 21mm lugs!

A strap similar to Bathys leather one would be a good choice.

I know a lot of you guys don't dive, but leather and diving watches....to me, just don't mix. Especially a brown strap.

Don't get me wrong 21mm is an odd choice and the 1000T is 20mm, but since there are at least 5000 750Ts out there, I would expect that they would have something.
