The Doxa with the Moxa.. .

I have a feeling I'm opening a bag of worms.. . Being relatively new to the dive watch arena, and enjoying the scale, engineering, design, and price points of these watches.. .one cannot escape the luster of Doxa.

I have read nothing but good about Doxa. They look way cool, and have neat names. Never had one in my hand but I'm hoping to have an opportunity to experience that in the not-too-distant future.

My question to you fellow aquanuts: If you were going to buy your FIRST Doxa, which one would it be? Feel free to tell me why, too, and I would greatly appreciate photographs.

    Looking forward to your responses....

Gotta be Orange for your first Doxa
And IMHO the 750T Pro on GMT bracelet is the VERY best Doxa to date .

No matter which one you start with, you'll eventually wind up with Orange, so might as well just start with a Pro.
Then, the choices are 750T, GMT, 600TG or 1000T. And that decision depends on your need/desire for GMT or chronograph functions followed by how you feel about the slight size difference between the 750 based cases and the 1000 case.
As we always say, "No matter what you pick you will be happy with the choice."

I went classic black first, then the Silver Searambler:

Well you have to have an orange in there some where so I would say a Pro, either 750 or 1000 based on your size pref. I like the 750 case size.

I received my grail watch just this week, a GMT Sharkhunter. It has just enough orange to be different than a regular black watch but isn't too much that I can't wear it with everything, to include my "work attire."

Best of luck. You will love what ever you get.
    I have too many watches.....

I agree that the first should be Orange. This was my first.

And, then I went and purchased these with one on the way.

    Thanks Nick

I can't let a thread like this go by without making my "Doxa Sales Pitch". I think the GMT Pro is arguably the nicest looking and the most functional out of all the Doxas to date.

    Best Regards,
    Jason

Dan, those are some of the absolute BEST pics I have ever seen of any Doxa. True works of art!

ps, Rick, start with the orange. It's their 'flagship' color. Which specific flavor depends on your personal size preference.....

What a fantasic pic of the Searambler. The orange minute hand/orange rubber strap combo is sweet!

If I was going to get a Doxa, this would be the one.

Well, Doxa is famous for diving watches and also for orange watches. Not GMTs or chronos. I picked the 600 T reissue for these reasons and the polished links of the 600 series bracelets which have disappeared from the lineup. I have to admit that I am very much tempted by the T-graph (I love chronos).
