    Doxa recommended service?

How often should Doxa be serviced and looked at? I heard somethign that it should be cleaned evey two years? Is that true? My Caribbean is 2 yo so I was just wondering. I don't really want to show it to anyone because it is pretty abused and beat up and I don't want anyone to call watch protective services on me :)

Hmm opinions seem to vary on this, manufacturers tend to suggest every 2-5 years. Other watches of 20-30 years old i've heard of have never been serviced and still run fine. Personally i'd do it if the watch is running way off, and definitely every now and again (say 5 years) just to keep it well lubricated and waterproof.

General maintenance service seems to run $200 - $500 depending on if independent jeweler or the manufacturer does it. Rolex are one of the high ones but what a job they do, the watch comes back like new.
