    Doxa secondary marketplace?

For people who don't use Ebay, is there any secondary marketplac for Doxase, preferably one dedicated solely to Doxas? As an example I'd use the paneristi website whereby there is a whole 'collector's marketplace' for the buy/sell of Panerai's. It's great as you are dealing with a close universe of people with a common interest and there's a very communal atmosphere of trust and respect. As a potential seller of my Divingstar GMT, I'm really looking for a place that I can see the current market value of secondary Doxas and figure out whether it's worth it. A great thing about Doxa watches is their exclusivity, but a down side is that they are fairly illiquid. Watch dealers--at least ones I know--still don't seem to be too interested in them. I know, their loss!!! Any advice would be appreciated.

It is fairly commonplace to sell on either the sales corner here on WUS or the sales corner on TimeZone. There is not one specific place for Pre-owned Doxa watches. The other issue is that the DS GMT does not come up for sale all that often. Remember, there are only 100 of them in circulation right now. It seems the highest prices are commanded on Ebay.

    Timing is everything.

    Re: Doxa secondary marketplace?

    Guys,

I've been thinking about this and the forum on my site doesn't get used much at all. It was put up when there seemed an need for it. That need has receeded. I was thinking of changing it to a Doxa only market place.

    Any thoughts?

    Pete

Sounds like a wonderful Idea to me. I would feel much better if I ever do decide to sell one if it went to one of the faithful forum members.

I like the idea. The Vintage Rolex Forum marketplace is a great place to go, and Doxa deserves similar. I use Fleabay, but really it is infested by too many sharks, and not the type we like here!!

Well it sure would be easy for me to change a few things and make it a sales forum

    www.doxa300t.com

under forum link. I could change that to Sales or something and put a stick saying it was now for selling Doxa stuff. I'd keep the previous postings and logins for posterity but use the place for selling and posting want ads and discussing sales etc etc etc

Probably take a while to migrate to somewhere that people would check but I'm sure it could work.
