    DOXA SUB1000T Project AWARE

What a coincidence. I was just catching up on the DOXA forum before hitting the gym when I got an email about the upcoming DOXA SUB1000T Project AWARE timepiece, which is limited to 92.

My knee jerk reaction was to pull the trigger but I just got myself the 1000T COSC Divingstar and I did my part donating to Project AWARE when I was OW and AOW certified.

    So, who is in?

Yeah, I just got the news letter as well. Definielty a great cause. if I hadn't just bought (and received the other day!) my Doxa Tusa 1000T, I'd order one of these Project Aware watches. I suppose I could sell the Tusa, but...

Love all the logos, but that one doesn't sing to me. . .

    Re: DOXA SUB1000T Project AWARE

More than just another "logo'd" watch -

As nearly anyone who collects special edition/logo'd watches knows - co-branded watches like the COMEX, the Dominos Pizza "atta boy" Air Kings, and even something with Snoopy can make a watch worth a small fortune once it is no longer available for sale as part of a collection, or if it never was available in the first place - but to place the Project AWARE DOXA SUB in this category is somewhat short sighted. It is nowhere near the main point behind the Project AWARE DOXA SUB. As we said in our public announcment - this watch is not about logos, it is not about collections, and it is really, ultimately, not even about DOXA. The whole purpose behind this watch is to help spread the word about the work that Project AWARE is doing. I think we all can agree that protecting the environment and oceans is definitely a better investment from an ecological standpoint and that is the real point of this watch. Having said that, it goes without saying that as a DOXA with a logo, it will certainly attract collectors as well. And the best part of this watch is that it allows you to do something good for the environment, and from the watch collecting standpoint - something nice for yourself!

And fair enough - it does have a cool logo as well and it will be highly sought after once it has sold out the 92 pieces - but that is just the icing on the cake!
