Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in awhile

Earlier this year I had purchased a COSC SUB 1000T Caribbean from Island Time Cayman Islands when they were selling the remaining DOXA’s they had for half price. Was very happy with that deal I scored. Monday of this week they contacted me and said they found a new DOXA 750T Caribbean in their safe and asked if I’d be interested in it. After talking it over with them I went ahead and pulled the trigger and made the purchase.

This is the watch I was expecting to arrive

But this is the one they sent me

Yes that’s a new DOXA SUB 750T Carribbean Chronometre serial # 3050 and yes this Doxa has the misspelling of the word Carribbean with the double r’s :) and yes it totally surprised me when it arrived yesterday and noticed it.

Anywho Island Time has misplaced or lost the “Controle Officiel Suisse Des Chronometre” paperwork for this watch :( so I contacted Doxa yesterday to see if it was possible to issue a new certificate but no luck there since the only one was issued and sent with the watch to Island Time when it was ordered as stock. Doxa did say "Wear it for five years, and sell it for more than you paid,"

So yes better believe I’m thrilled about the watch even without the paperwork :)

Silly me, I thought Doxa recalled the unsold double R Caribbeans and replaced the dials. You scored a rare one…congrats!

You did score a great deal! Watches with mistakes are always more collectable. I have a friend with an Omega goof and it is highly collectable. Good for you! Cheers, Bill P.

Boy that a luck and what a deal. Most like you paid half a price.

And I was in that store at least a dozen times in the last few years.
