Well, I finally bit the bullet and finally after so much back and forth between which to get (the 5000T or 1200T) I couldn't resist the Miami Vice colour of the Doxa Project Aware 2 package and turquoise Isofrane goodness. It arrived today just after lunch and I gotta say, Doxa knows divers!
I didn't think I would be a fan of the 'Beads of Rice" bracelet but holy crap, it is just beautiful and really does add to the vintage touch of the kickarse cushion case that sits beautifully on the wrist saddle. The 120 click bezel action is tight and crisp and the grip is awesome. The vintage case design is absolutely amazing. Total vintage feel and really does look like the watch was made in the 60's/70's. Just love it.
I was a little afraid of it's size and a lot of people have said it wears smaller because of the very small dial opening. Honestly, it is a perfect size!! I'm glad I went the smaller route because this one adds another dimension to my collection because I have plenty of big guns in the toolbox. This one is a superb addition! As you can see in the pics it fits me just right.
The sick turquoise blue dial is what got me to bite this model in the first place. Just beautiful is all I can say. I also got the turquoise Isofrane as well which is sweet and is my 12th Isofrane in my strap box...lol. I think if I do add another Doxa it will no doubt be an orange dial (prob the 5000T professional). I can image how nice the orange dial is, being the signature Doxa colour and is what they are known for. Doxa def knows colour!
I know I'm prob preaching to the choir here, but to those that are on the fence about getting a Doxa....jump off and go for it!!
And now, onto the eye candy show.......I present #69
On turquoise Isofrane.....Miami Vice hardcore
