    Which first Doxa?

I am seriously considering the purchase of a new first Doxa...

I have always liked their watches from afar, but have no way to handle one before I purchase. I would like a 42mm watch with seperate BOR (not fixed) bracelet as this seems more legit for me.

What would be the best option the 300 re issue? Maybe the 1200? Also where are Doxa made and are they the same company of old?

Thanks for any advice ! I'm all ears...
    Cheers from Malta, Etienne

At this moment I'll take the anniversary re-issue. First DOXA gotta be the Professional.

Buddy, this thread may be of interest to you.

My first Doxa was a 1200T Professional. I wanted an orange Doxa, liked the size of the 1200T, the look and the Cousteau legacy. After owning my 1200T Professional for a couple of years I added a 1200T Sharkhunter. I enjoy owning/wearing my Doxa pair; however, pick the one which "speaks to you" as you won't be disappointed.

What a beautiful duo...the 1200 is fast becoming my favourite Doxa too...

This time I'll take my time and see what crops up on the used market. Thanks for the link.

I went with the 300 pro as my first. Debated between the iconic orange and the more versatile black, but eventually opted for the pro.

i'm in the same boat! ready for my first Doxa, and i've been sniffing around them for a while. i've decided to go with the 1200T professional. what's my best bet of picking one up? patiently checking the sales forum here or is there another way? looking for used, of course.

Is there any love for the quartz Doxas? I like the look of some of the Sub 600s and it looks like they would fit my girlyman wrist better. They seem to go for a wide range of prices: $600 - $1800! Some of the lower priced ones are OK except for their bezel inserts being beat up. I have heard those are impossible to find replacements for though
