    Gift The IRISHSTAR lives

Well here she is. Many years in the making. My design, worked up by Greg and manufactured by International dial. Of course the Shamrock looks uncannily like a Clover leaf but I'll just call it my lucky 4 leaf Shamrock.....

I pulled a movement from a fake Rolex with an ETA 2824. Karen was kind enough to send me the correct hands and I just canabalized a case and used the wife's 600T polished bracelet.. Unfortunately it all gets pulled apart and the correct bits go back together but I'll wear it for a few days and take a couple of pics. For now.........it's alive.... one of a kind. Frankenstein.. yes.. but my baby.

Can you not hear that Irish fiddle music in the background

    Pete

The market, man, the market: The Italian Star in red/white and green; the American Star, red/white stripes and blue stars instead of the seconds markers; the list can go on and on. Get DOXA aboard, make limited editions of say, 100, and go international. lol

Neat watch even though green is not my color ( hmmm Orange Free State -DOXA Orange, coincident?)

You know Frankenwatches like this should be encouraged. Hell maybe a dbluefish Star with me on my yellow bike?

Then after a year or two, think of the book you could do?

    Nice work Dr Pete!

Oh no, the orange stays. The orange on the bezel sets off the dial. Remember the Irish flag is Green, White and Orange.

Watch out Doxa, the Irish are taking over!

Somebody once said, that alcohol was invented to keep the Irish from taking over the world! JUST KIDDING.

My wife's grandfather use to tell people, "If he wasn't Irish? He’d be ASHAMED!

    jc

    P.S. She's a real beauty Dr. Pete.

As my mother always says.... "there is only one thing worse than being Irish....... and that's not being Irish"

Looks fantastic Doc, a definite "must" for the next edition of the book. So glad to see you were finally able to get her finished (particularly with correct hands!). But one thing. The 600T on the dial is now incorrect, yes?
    Regards, T Bone.
