    My new old watches

I just got back from a week in the Redneck Riviera (Gulf Shores) and this was waiting for me. A forum buddy from Norway sent me 2 (his and hers) NOS DOXAs. These didn't have a scratch on them. I mean they were MINT. Now, these are no big pie pan divers ... but hey, everybody likes to feel a little sophisticated at times. Here is mine ... it's an auto and around 36mm. I've always wanted something vintage but didn't have the guts to chance a sub 40mm watch. It fits pretty good AND ......... it's a DOXA. I think I found my new watch to wear to court since I have to wear a suit when I testify. The crazy thing is ... it's WR to 20 ATM. :-!

    Looks good David.(Now where's hers?)

I too have thought about putting a vintage dress DOXA into the collection, but just haven't pulled the trigger yet. If I could find a nice tank case in gold, I'd be all over it.

She put hers on, and promptly took a nap. I've learned not to wake her up .... especially to take a wrist shot.

I'll get the other one up later. It's a manual wind and definitely a woman's size.

Hi, David! Here's your watch's missing twin brother, from California. I love this watch. I also bought it NOS from one of the forum members. I haven't decided yet, if I need to send it for a spa treatment.

    Cheers.

What a great Doxa addition David. Very nice...now you have to take your wife someplace nice for dinner, so you guys can break in the new watches.

Great find, love that domed crystal! Word of caution though, even though it's in immaculate shape, it's possible the seals have degraded with time. I wouldn't count on that 20 Bar WR (of course I knew you weren't going to take it diving ).
    Regards, T Bone.
