Need some info on an Auto Incabloc

    Hey guys!

I have recently come across a Doxa Incabloc Auto gold plated (no marks on the case stating gold so i assume it’s plated).

It has the original black strap & buckle and has the markings 4305 on the caseback.

Now, i haven’t opened the case but i saw the same model in st.steel with the eta 2878 movt. All i can say is the second i picked it up, the watch started. Never seen that on any of my autos.

I have also attached pictures of it.

My main question is: is it worth anything? Is there a demand for this model?

    Thanks in advance guys!

    Hi, Alex!

Although Doxa has a wide range of watches, I think you will find that most people on this forum are fans of Doxa's iconic SUB diver's watches. I'm not saying that we don't care about other Doxa watches, but a lot of these vintage watches were somewhat generic compared to the SUBs.

I don't know how you "came across" this watch, but if it's an heirloom, then wear it and enjoy it for what it is. I have an Omega that I inherited from my Grandfather - the crystal and dial are not original, but that doesn't matter to me, as my Grandfather wore it like this, and that's what I'm gonna do too.

The monetary worth of a watch is only as much as someone is willing to pay for it, and you may only find its real worth by putting it up for auction. But as I said - it's a pretty generic watch from the 50's or 60's, however it does look pretty original and in good condition.

    All the best,
    Loco

Have to agree with loco on all points, value is not much I brought a similar looking doxa for £70 but just purely for the movement as it had a doxa caliber 118 movement the same as my vintage doxa 300t and thought it be good to have a spare for any future repairs

Yeah you are absolutely right on all accounts. I inherited it from my grandfather and it simply amazed me how well the movement still runs. Sadly i can't wear it because of my rather large wrists. But that doesn't mrean i will ever sell it. Was just curious regarding its value.

Thanks for taking the time to read and reply brother!

    Cheers,
    Alex

Absolutely right, was just curious if it's one of the rarer models being sold by doxa. Just for the sake of the argument, have no intention of selling. Thanks bud!
