New 1000P vs old 750S Quartz

    Hello to all of you,
In the 80's all my family had the opportunity to get Doxa's (i won't be long: my brother Flux as explain the essential in precend posts).
We had a family meeting this w-e so I've had the opportunity to take some picture of my new 1000P (I'm VERRY HAPPY of it - thanks DOXA) and of an "old" Searambler 750 "powered" with Quartz...
Sorry for my basic english and the quality of the pics: it is from a mobile and we had drunk a little (hum) wine

Nice pics from a little mobile phone. Interesting how the old 750 looks almost similar in size with the new 1000T (in the pictures taken from above).
But the 750 seems to have had a long and difficult life I certainly prefer the new one with the orange minute hand... this being said, a restoration of the Aubry 750 could be interesting (only problem: no more replacement bezel inserts in stock...).

    PIOU, Bernie,
Nice pictures. The DOXA's silver dial has grown on me recently. This might lead to my next DOXA. I like the vintage bezel. Too bad the restoration is not possible.

Thank you Bernie for this shot of "Automatic Brother"! Yours is still in a very good shape!!! Any restoration??? Or just taking care of it???
For me living on continental europe, I think one little advantage is the indications in meters rather than in feet, on the bezel, on the "old" Doxa from Aubry's period...

Piou, the 750T Searambler is still completely original, it was not really used by its former owner, only one Dive and then he decided it´s too big for him, so he stored it in the Drawyer and never used it again.

Oh, that's great to find such a Doxa...
I hope that in the forthcoming years, DOXA will produce a new model, inspired by the Aubry's period (I think of a thicker case, and, why not, a quartz version???)...
    Then I think I wouldn't resist...
