New member checking in with original 300T aqualung

Hello all, just wanted to say hello and show my Doxa to all. It is my dad's 300T from 1969. Original Bracelet is gone an this watch was buried in a box for years. Finally I took it out and sent it to get the tritium refilled, overhaul due to not working anymore, crystal replaced due to crack and new crown and tube because it was stripped. Overall took a few trips back to the jewelers and 3 months back and forth to a few repair shops. Next on the list is find the correct second hand which my dad replaced years and years ago, so if anyone knows where I can find that would be a lot of help, and repaint the bezel per a link I got from the forum to bring it back to looking even better.

Welcome to the Doxa world. Health to enjoy your "new" SUB 300T. It makes it all the better that it belonged to your dad. I think you will struggle to get an original seconds hand. Parts for the vintage watches are very rare indeed. The bezel numbers look deep so they should repaint easily and hold the paint. You may already have this link. If not here it is

that is one hell of find. shame about the bracelet but its the watch that matters, good for you. and i'm still pissed at my dad for throwing out his baseball cars. actually i guess that was grandma's fault.

    Looking good!

For a seconds hand that's pretty close, try Harold at Yobokies. You might have to stake or broach it, but it can get you in the ballpark.
