I was into the fight, but then I talked to Pete and then to Jack at IWW and then I said forget it...too much is too much...

I’m sure I’m wrong but I seem to recall Omar searched for a bezel some years ago, but don’t know if he succeeded. He’s a resto whiz. So it seems like Paul is on the right track with cannibalizing another Doxa. Unless Lab Guy Mike has a secret stash ‘o parts - there’s a reason he was a bidder!

I like being dubbed a "whiz" ! Funny, but I spent most my Sunday dolling up my latest. Just finished painting the bezel. I'll have it all put back together in the morning. Pics will follow, of course.

Yeah, I envy those guys with parts stashes! I do hope that the Conquistador did find a good home, and does find itself mated to a bezel. What a beauty!

As for the my bezel hunt...I had to get resourceful and take the time and tools to take out the damage that was bugging me. Aubry 600T parts are near extinct, and those that do pop up are too pretty to be gutted.

Fortune favors the brave I guess but a crazy amount of money with no bezel, with a bezel I’d say maybe worth it but from experience doxa bezel replacement even on the correct watch and bezel is no easy task they are crazy tight and there is a lot of doxa bezels that look same but slight differences

Absolutely! I learned a lot tinkering with my three different generations of vintage Subs. The pre-Synchron bezel was tricky to remove, and wouldn't go back on! My repair guy had to dig out some goodies to snap it back in. The Synchrons were gravy! They came off without fuss, and went back on without much either via the bare hands.
