    A Newly Discovered 300T Conquistador

For those that have not seen it...There's a 300T Conquistador on Ebay. (I'm not going to put up the link to avoid rule breaking). It's a project, and it comes with a list of repairs. It even states the helium release valve. The pics are all top and bottom, so we can't see the sides.

This is history! Hope it gets restored to its former glory by whomever picks it up.

Doc, you can add one more to the list of known specimens! What is the total of existing 300T Conquistadors now?

Holy Ponce de León Batman! Except for the missing second hand lume the dial and hands appear excellent. Maybe it’s just the lighting but that orange is brilliant, other 300Ts seem to be a muddier shade. Definitely history, it’s cool to just see one.

Yeah , I gave it a half-hearted go knowing that it would eventually get crazy. Hopefully a WUS member got it and someday we’ll see it in its proper state.

I didn't even throw in a bid figuring the bidding would get crazy. Nice looking example even without the bezel.

But that missing bezel...a truly definitive piece of unobtainium.

Re: A Newly Discovered 300T Conquistador

I would look for a donor watch for a bezel and seconds hand. A 68 or 69 300T bezel with the same case would be compatible. Correct crystals are also available if you know where to look. Roached up 300Ts pop up frequently enough. As long as the crown tube on the Conquistador is ok it should be a realistic rehab.

I reckon your right Michael, the buyer must have or know where to source a bezel from...
    All the best mate
