    Next watch

After buying a couple of Seiko's, I have decided to get a Doxa. I was looking at a Shogun but I wanted to get something other than Seiko and a brand that I do not have with a unique style. After looking at various brands, I finally looked at Doxa. Now I never really had Doxa on my mind and I really don't know why. I started looking on their website and really like two models. Both are in the same price range. The two I am looking at:

1 - Sub 1200T Project Aware II - I love the turquoise dial (don't have anything like that color) and the BOR bracelet.
2 - Sub 1500T Searamber - The silver dial to so striking (don't have a silver dial driver) with the contrasting orange minute hand and bezel markings.

Both of these watch are stunning and totally different then anything I have.

I know there will be many that say I have to get an orange dial as my first Doxa but to tell you the truth, I am not a huge orange dial fan. I do have a Seiko Stargate with an orange dial and I do like it. The only other one I like is the Sub 1200T Caribbean.

All of you Doxa experts, which one would you get.

    Your input would be appreciated.

Canít go wrong with the Project Aware. The turquoise is stunning in person.

Donít sweat the orange dial. Buy what you like. Neither DOXA Iíve purchased in the last 18 months are orange, though Iím sure Iíll get around to it eventually.

Got to get what you want but +1 for the Project Aware II for me.

The graphic seems to complete the dial somehow. Bracelet uses standard springbars vs screws so youíll be able to wear with an isofrane or Doxaís 1200-specific fitted rubber strap (sold out but come up for sale from time to time). Also a smaller edition (300 vs 5000) fwiw.

    Disclaimer ó I briefly owned a 1200, have not handled a 1500.

One more thing.. The 1500 bracelet seems quite a bit different from 1200. Beads are totally different, less 60s/70s and more modern look. The screws vs springbars I already mentioned.

Ratcheting extension sounds nice, though. Bracelet clasp bit is just-ok on the 1200.

Iím loving the bracelet on the 1500. The clasp is perfection.

Also like the BOR on the Poseidon, but a stamped steel clasp doesnít belong anywhere near a $2K watch.

Can springbars be used on the 1500?

The screws on the 1500 work just fine with an Isofrane.

They can and they're glorious! These 800Ti and 1500T screws were designed by someone evil at Doxa, lol. But Springbars make changing straps/bracelets sooooooo easy. I wish all doxas had drilled through lugs. You need fat shoulderless springbars. I used these here.

Oh that removes the issue then. And you get the superior clasp. Though a different bead look. No perfection out there
