    Vintage Sub 300T Bezel

    Hello,

Does anyone know how to remove and replace the bezel on a vintage 300T?

    Thanks,
    Andy

Non-US Divers Vintage Subs question for Rick and John

    Hi guys,

A question for you. I have a vintage 1968 Sub 300T Pro, it has a metric bezel and non-US Divers dial. Was this a European market model, or sold before your affiliation with US-Divers? I know this question has been asked before, but it does'nt hurt to ask again, are spares going to be made for the classics? There are not many out there. But the ones that are need to be looked after.

    Cheers,
    Andy

    Andy,

I would be interested in that also, I have one just like you described, however mine has the boat on the back and a small syncron pic in the dial. It is currently getting a restoration.

    Cheers

    Hi Peter,

Mine is a pre-Synchron, it has the boat on the back but no Synchron symbol on the dial. I asked Dr. Millar about it and he said that it was a second generation case made sometime around Nov. 1968. Before the takeover by Synchron. Post some pics of your watch when you get it back. Who is doing the work?

    Cheers,
    Andy

    Andy,

got your PM buty thought I'd post the injfo here. The bezedls on the vintage SUBs are actually fairly easy to remove, but take a bit of care. I use an old blunt penknife. Look carefully at the bottom of the bezel where it trouches the case. There should be a little gap at one place where you can insert the edge of the blade. I use a stin piece of plastic set against the case which I lever the blade against. Saves the case being marked.

    Good luck.

    Pete

    Andy,

I actually have two people doing the work. I was going to get Jack at IWW to do the work but I couldn't bare to be apart from the vintage for more than 6 months.
So I have a master jeweler doing the metal side of things and 'Master Watchmakers' in Sydney doing the mechanicals and lume etc. The watch guy is Carl Breilsteiner he is supposed to be the best over here.

I will post pic's when I get it back for sure.
