Hi paul, which Conquistador or divingstar have you seen offered? did I miss something ? I have not seen a cheap Conquistador for years. Or maybe I should ask, what do you consider cheap? $4000.00??

    Re: Oh Another question?

The only Conquistador I've seen sell was the one the ex Doxa employee sold and it was in need of alot of work from what I understand and I believe he was asking like $3,000 for it.I don't think Dr.Pete will Be selling his and I dont plan on selling mine.I think that leaves another that is in good condition.I know I turn down offers all the time for my Divingstar 300t reissue.I dont think theres alot of them floating around. One person got lucky not to long ago scoring one on ebay for cheap but I dont think thats going to happen again.I think the bargain days are over when you see bracelets selling for 300 bucks.---Joe

You must've missed the one that sold.... without end links.... for about $560 a few days back on eBay!

Still, never say never, there will still be bargains. Maybe fewer and farther between, and maybe harder to ferret out, but they will still be there.... somewhere. And Popeye's 300T Divingstar reissue was purchased only several months ago, wasn't it?

    Anyone here frequent estate sales?
    Regards, T Bone.

Very true. And it was only about 2 months ago that I bought this one NOS off the bay from Switzerland for $550

    Best Regards,

Yup i'm confused here too - which rare collectables sold cheap ??? Pretty much every single piece, vintage and modern, that's sold on eBay recently has hit way above what prices were 6 months ago.

As for the ex-Doxa Employee Conquistador - it is doing nicely in rehab, will be back in public view very soon...

I messed up it is a 750 Carribean not Conquistador, but still it at only $1000

A 600T DivingStar with what is supposedly rare orange dial at $1000 =/-

    1000T Sharkie $780

I know auctions change often at the last minute but still these prices seem low at this point.

I agree Paul, those prices seem lower than what we've been seeing lately. The orange D'Star was particularly surprising as it seems to be the rarest of the lot. I didn't see the super-cheap Sharkie but someone got a steal there! There seem to be a lot of Subs on ebay lately, my guess is a lot of people are looking to trade up to the new models Doxa is offering.....

And Jason, we all still hate you for scooping that 300 from Switzerland!

Paul (DBluefish) if you're talking auctions not yet closed, the prices quite well could go up hundreds in the last few seconds of the auction. Might even double!. Maybe not, but to even mention a price as being low with several days to go is pointless. Want to talk pricing? Let's talk what they've sold for .
