    Question: Vintage Military Diver

    Hi Folks:

I seem to recall that Doxa may have produced a "military" diver during the 1960s that was along the lines of the Pro. If memory serves me, the watch had a black and gray roulette wheel dial. Would someone be able to post pic of this watch? :thanks

    Thanks in advance,
    TomS aka Doxa Newbie

Tom, I believe you are referring to the Doxa "Army". There have been only a couple of those surface, and I don't have a picture.

Edit: I just searched and found a couple that David took of his Doxa Army.

    I absolutely LOVE those hands!!!

Stuck it on a cheapo nylon strap, only 20mm one i had, got a rubber deployment on the way. Aiming to wear it a while and decide if to get it spruced up or leave as it is.

    Cheers,
    David.

    Best Regards,

Yes - the DOXA Army. There is also a mention of this in Dr. Peter Millar's history of the DOXA SUB - page 265.

Jas remembers where all the watches are !!

That is indeed mine, one of the few Doxas i'll be unlikely to sell, think there are 3 publically known at last count. My dial is a tad rough! BTW the case originally had a PVD-type black coating, obviously this has worn off over time, another member who's name i forget (JBuick?) has one that is pretty intact if i recall correctly.

I also have a Horological Journal magazine (i think it is) from sometime 1972, has an article on this puppy's launch, so dates it well.

    Hi Tom,
here are two pics of this very rare watch. It's not mine. Got the pics from anywhere off the net.
Technical detail may be similar to the early Sub 300/T, Mvt. ETA2472(?)

That is one wicked looking piece!

Hey Doxa - How about a Sub 750T Army Limited Edition?

That would be awesome. Who's with me on this one?
