"Say hello to my little friends"!

I bought my first Doxa, the 750T Pro about a month ago and just last week was lucky enough to score a great deal on the bay on a 1000T Divingstar. Here's a quick and dirty shot of the two friends together for the first time. Brietlingman and I are are meeting for lunch tomorrow to give him a close up look at the 1000T and we'll enjoy several other watches we're each bringing as well.

    Best Regards,
    Ray K

The yellow 1000T is cool. I'd like to pull the trigger on one but I was swayed by all the negative talk about it's size. I'm sure it just appears small when compared to the 750T. Is it smaller then an Omega? The Dr. I work with wears an Omega and it looks small compared to my Sharkhunter. But it still looks nice. What's your opinion of the size?

Well, I just received the 1000T today and although it's smaller than the 750T it wears bigger than I thought it would. I also have a Seamaster Pro 2455.50 full size diver and here's the rundown:

The Seamaster is 41mm wide (not including crown) and the 1000T Is 43mm wide. But the Seamaster dial is bigger at 30mm vs 28mm for the 1000T. So, based on dial size alone, the Seamaster wears bigger than the 1000T but the 1000T has a wider total stance.

I weighed all three watches sized for my 7 1/2 in wrist and here's the weights:

    Doxa 750T = 182 grams
    Doxa 1000T = 164 Grams
    Seamaster Pro = 168 grams

So, I think the 1000T compares favorably in size and weight with the SMP and it depends on how your eyes perceive the size differences between the two watches. I've only had my 750T for a month and the 1000T a day so, I'm going to give them both more time before I chose a favorite. But, at this very moment, both the 750T and the 1000T feel great on my wrist and I'm hard pressed to pick a favorite at this moment. That's what I was afraid of, too. I may have to keep them both. Such is the way of the WIS, isn't it?

"Say hello to my little friends"!

Actually, since Ray has brought it up, if there is anyone else in the Orlando area who might want to meet up, shoot me a PM, and I'll share the time / place. I'd love to see a Sharky, a 'Rambler, a T-Graph, a 300T, a ...........

That DS is gorgeous in the pics .... after I see your watch Ray, Doxa will prolly be getting more of my Christmas money ....

    Cheers!
    Bill
