Searmbler, not offered on all models...why?

The Searamber dial (silver) is offered on some but not all models, how come? The color is well received and rarely, if ever, do we here a negative comment regarding the face.

Correct me if I'm wrong but it is not available in the 800, 1000, or the 5000 right? Just 300, 600, 750 and the 1200.

It was standard on the vintage 300T, on the 300T reissue there was a one of a kind prototype that was auctioned off. so in reality the only reissue Searamblers are the 600T-Graph, the 750T, and now the 1200T. As to why, the official Doxa response until the 1200T's were released is that they didn't sell well. This was true for the 750Ts as they only sold about 100. The main reason, in my opinion, was that the searambler is rather hard to photograph and they never look as good as they do in the flesh. Once people started to see them up close and personal the demand went up. Hence the 1200T reissue. JMHO.

Thanks Joe, makes sense I guess. I wonder if it would even be feasable to offer a Searambler as an option. On a pre-order basis. If you want to one sure, we'll custom make it for you. It'll just take a little time.

    Unlikely but.......

I think the fact that silver dials do not sell as well as some other colors - may have something to do with it.
