so what exactly is a "DOXA"?

It hit me today that I have no idea what the DOXA name means. Is it German for snow mountain, or Greek for "you've gone too deep now buddy..."

checked the DOXA site under the History tab, but nothing there to tell me what the name means....

So all you Doxa'holics, what does DOXA stand for or translate to or represent..............:thanks

Re: so what exactly is a "DOXA"?

In older terms it means "glory, radiance, majesty" such as in the bible. I also found where DOXA is a Greek word meaning ‘a belief system or a way of seeing things’.
    Best Regards,

I'm glad you posed this (and your response Jason)! Wikipedia has 2 good entries on it. Someone should add a 3rd to accommodate the Watch company.

    Hi Stan,
in modern greeks "doxa" means: glory, fame, majesty, shine. In ancient greeks means: faith.
So, if the origin of DOXA is greek (modern or ancient), the roots are very good for a glorius watch with faithful followers.

    Regards,
    Dimitris
